Life in the Light

About Us

Pastor Winifred
In the book of Revelations, it is written that John had a vision. He saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of the heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. He heard a loud voice from the throne saying,

"See, the home of God is among mortals, He will dwell with them, they will be
His people, and God Himself will be with them; . . . . ." (Rev. 21:3)

The New Jerusalem Worshippers is a site that lets you know that God lives in the hearts of people. He's in our hearts and anyone who desires to hear His voice, He will speak to that person.

During the Summer of 1998, I was a Temporary Clerk Typist for the Cityís Waste Treatment Plant. I knew nothing about computers; but, this job was only temporary and no one seemed to be concerned with my lack of computer knowledge. Due to numerous retypes, it was decided that I start typing memos and letters on the computer in Microsoft Word. I was shown the basic skills that eliminated so many retypes. This was the beginning of a new world for me for curiosity afforded me to dig deeper into this new found world. A coworker, Estelle, was very patient with me as I lost information on a daily basis. One month into this job gave me enough computer knowledge to want to know more.

December found me looking at computers in the store. I couldnít afford the high prices so I settled for a Brotherís Word Processor. Little did I know that I would soon be led to draw pictures and write numerous of books. My first drawing consisted of personalized Christmas cards for all the employees at the Waste Treatment Plant. I was like a dry sponge soaking up ever little drop of water.

I found myself trying to draw everything that my eyes beheld. Each day that I opened my eyes, I started to see life in a different light. GOD showed me Himself in my artwork for every picture told a story which would relate to a Scripture. Within that year, I wrote sermonettes for each drawing. Initially, I was just having fun and exploring my own created self. Over a period of six years I started making quilts from the drawings. I basically taught myself how to quilt through trials and errors.

My website is designed to insight readers to look within and find their created self. As you look at the artwork, I hope and pray that each picture will speak to your heart and put a smile on your face. Everyone has an ability to be creative. Itís only a matter of finding some quiet time and celebrating who you are and why you are here.

May God's peace be with you.
